It's Raining Again

I now give you a free writing excercise from the Playwriting unit of Voice for the Actor IV, with writing prompt selected by Neil Fleming.
The date is January 16th, 2008.

"It's raining again." That's one of my favourite Supertramp songs. It reminds me of the good old days when pop was only ten cents and penny candies were penny candies. Okay, I'm joking - I'm not that old. And that's not really my favourite Supertramp track. In fact, it's one of my least favourites. In fact, I don't really like it much at all. In fact, I don't really like Supertramp that much at all. In fact, I think the only thing I really like is the phrase "in fact". But it is raining again. I say again like it's rained before - you're probably imagining its been pouring buckets for days straight and now it's raining once more. But I don't mean that. I mean that it was raining this morning, and then it took a short break, and now it's raining again. Do you understand what I mean? And, yes, it is literal. I don't mean like, "Oh no, the clouds in my heart have come back and the figurative rain is pouring down on poor, insignificant me, causing me to be filled with woe and misery." No, nothing like that. Just regular old rain.

Thank you.

Well if I were to say that it's raining again, I wouldn't mean that it took a short break and then started raining again, I would mean that is raining... again, as it has been doing almost every day.

Thank you Vancouver.
